HIADS 2022 Annual General Meeting

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN OF THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The Annual General Meeting of the Hayling Island Amateur Dramatic Society and HIADS Ltd will be held on 21st March 2022 at 7.30pm at the Station Theatre.

Please attend and give your support to the society, the executive committee and the various advisory committees that manage the theatre on your behalf. Please note as well that depending on the government’s COVID-19 restrictions at the end of March we may find ourselves having to organise an online or “virtual” AGM (e.g., through Zoom or similar software). We’ll keep you posted.

On the Newsletter page of this site, a nomination form can be downloaded should you wish to stand for the executive committee. Please note that nominations are not required for the advisory committees. Advisory committee members are appointed by the executive committee following the AGM. Should you wish to join one of these committees please let the executive know as soon after the AGM as possible.

The executive committee posts of Chairman, Secretary, DPS, Treasurer and two to four Committee Members are up for election/re-election at this AGM. We also seek nominations for one trustee for HIADS Ltd. In accordance with the HIADS constitution, elected committee members may stand for a two-year term.

The Chairman must stand for re-election each year. Therefore, nominees are sought for the following positions:
• Chairman
• Vice-Chairman
• Hon Secretary
• Hon Treasurer
• Designated Premises Supervisor
• Four Ordinary Members

Nominations must be received by the Honorary Secretary before 11th March 2022.
If any member wishes to put a proposition or an amendment to the constitution to the AGM, can they please present that, in writing, to the Honorary Secretary before 19th February 2022
