Hi everyone,
So the June production next year is going to be The Three Musketeers! It would be great to have as many people involved in it as possible. Please see below info about characters available and audition details.
ALL FOR ONE AND ONE FOR ALL
Alexandre Dumas is suffering from writer's block trying to produce a weekly serial for a Paris newspaper having already drunk the money the paper advanced him. Inspiration comes to him in the form of the Three Musketeers. Join D'Artagnan, Porthos, Athos and Aramis battle the machinations of Cardinal Richelieu and Milady de Winter in this hilarious re-telling of a classic story. This adaptation and overall production will be heavily inspired by the 1970s films starring Michael York, Charlton Heston, Faye Dunaway, Raquel Welch and Spike Milligan.
This play has a grand total of 40 individual characters although we have cut this number to roughly half thanks to doubling up and, in some cases, tripling up! Depending on numbers of people interested, we can “de-couple” characters as required. There is, of course, an amount of sword-fighting involved in this play, but there are a number of characters who would not be required to do so, so please do not be put off by that! Characters not required to fight are highlighted in the list of characters below.
Named characters are listed below and a list of the doubling / tripling up of characters will be provided at both the reading and auditions.
An electronic copy of the script is available for perusal prior to reading and auditions. If interested, please contact me (Simon).
